Mission statement

To guide the delivery of a high quality, safe and sustainable spinal service across the Severn Spinal Operational Delivery Network (ODN) and ensure patients can access effective advice and treatment in a timely manner.

The Severn Spinal ODN will help define standards and pathways to improve access and care for patients presenting with spinal conditions electively and in emergency situations.  It is one of two regional spinal networks in the south west of England.

Goals:

The Network aims to focus on four key strategic areas

1. Improvements in quality of spinal services and outcomes for patients across the Severn Region
2. Promote developments in spinal care pathways to spread best practice across the Severn Region
3. To maximise availability of spinal care resources and minimise delays in access
4. To minimise the requirement for spinal care
